G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê (/p˔ɘ/ /ˈelo/ [right (direction)] [fat (component in food)]) is a temperate Town located in the Ineg̈èsho Zone of the Union of Engineers.
The name G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê was founded by Grèsè Zepí, who was culturaly Iron Elven.
Climate
G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê has a yearly average temperature of 23°C (73°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 31°C (87°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 15°C (59°F). G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê receives an average of 283 cm/y (111 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê covers an area of nearly 4 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 836 m (2742 ft) above sea level.
Overview
G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê was founded durring the late 11th century, by Grèsè Zepí. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Grèsè Zepí.
G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.
G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê is was constructed arround several spacious cobblestone mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The town is protected by a series of wooden fences ringing the town's parimiter, which are likly intended to keep varrious beasts out of town rather than protect it from attack by any intelegent agents. The town's bare minimum defences are visibly old, but also obviously well maintained. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with routine mantance of the town's defences.
A look around G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine with the simple fact that it is abundantly clear G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê suffered something horrible some time ago. It's as if the town itself is depressed. Smiles are few, cheer is nowhere to be had. Everyone quietly goes about their daily business not looking anyone in the eye. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê long.
Civic Infrastructure
G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê.
G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.
G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.
G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.
G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.
G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.
Cultural Notes
There’s more than one leader in G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê, but at least some of them are at each other’s throats. It might be a conflict between formal leadership and informal authorities, or it could be a struggle among civil officials. Their interests might diverge sharply, or it could be a personal grudge that’s boiled over. Outside threats and internal problems are likely being ignored until the power struggle is resolved.
G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.
Due to the actions of local Kami, spring is skipped in G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê.
The Leshy, Lichen near G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.
G̈mtdë-elo Fêqê's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves consuming a local narcotic to channel Necromancy energies of tier 3 via moments of science.
Economy
